On Tuesday, January 14, Mrs. Honora and the counseling team brought in Amherst College Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer Norm Jones to speak with juniors and seniors. Norm shared the benefits of an Amherst College education. Amherst practices need-blind admissions. This means that Amherst will meet the full demonstrated need regardless of a family's economic status.
Leadership ranks at the top when applying to Amherst College. Having high test scores and a high GPA is only one part of the process. It's more about admitting students who will take advantage of strong teachings and apply it to their plans to make a significant impact on the world.
Several students displayed an interest in Amherst College and have already begun the process of researching the college and having their information sent to admissions.
