Seniors expand their post-secondary horizons at Dillard University college fair.

When high school students are preparing for college, one of the best things they can do is attend a college fair. College fairs give them the opportunity to speak with college admissions officials and research their postsecondary education options.

Recently the Dillard University Office of Recruitment, Admissions, and Programming hosted a MAX college fair for St. Mary's Academy, St. Augustine and St. Katharine Drexel Preparatory School.

Representatives from more than 20 universities, colleges, and career services, along with the armed forces, attended the event providing information and making connections with the attendees. Dillard's Office of Financial Aid provided a presentation on the financial aid process.

Students had the opportunity to talk to the college representatives about their education goals one-on-one. For some, it was more than just a conversation. Many students were officially accepted into a college on-site at the fair.

Event organizers say they're pleased with the students and are already excited about next year's fair.
