Coronavirus Updates

St. Augustine High School is intently following reports and updates of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This is a rapidly evolving situation, so please check this page regularly for the most current and accurate information concerning our school. COVID-19 will continue to be monitored for the health and safety of our students as well as the broader community. While St. Augustine has not yet had either a case of or known exposure to COVID-19 reported to us by our faculty, staff, or students, the school is closed to students, parents, and visitors.

During this time of uncertainty, please join us in praying for our community. Let us pray for the continued safety of our students, families, faculty, and staff. Let us also pray for all those suffering physically, emotionally, and financially.  Let us pray for containment and prevention of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We appreciate your partnership and thank you for your patience, grace, and flexibility as we work to support one another.

Health-Related Information

CDC: preventing and mitigating an outbreak is the most important strategy. We all have a responsibility to adhere to the following preventive measures and we ask that you review them with your children at home:

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
• If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Stay home when you are sick (and do not return to school until you are fever-free for 24 hours without medication).
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
