Kenneth A. St. Charles, Ph.D.

Dr. Kenneth St. Charles is the President and CEO of St. Augustine High School located in New Orleans, Louisiana.  In this capacity, he is responsible for ensuring that the school fulfills its mission of providing a quality, well- rounded education to nearly 600 young men in the traditions of the Catholic Church. In his role, he supervises sixty-six faculty and staff members and manages an $8 million budget. 

Prior to joining St. Augustine, he served as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Virginia.  In this capacity, he was the chief fundraiser for the College, responsible for developing and managing relationships with key constituencies that ensured the overall success of the college. 

Before joining Randolph College, he served as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Xavier University of Louisiana for ten years. 

Prior to Xavier, he served as the Area Development Director for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), where he was the senior executive of fundraising and media relations for a three-state region. 

Dr. St. Charles has more than twenty-two years of professional experience in the development and alumni relations and has been personally involved with raising more than $142 million during this time. 

He is a proud St. Augustine alumnus and member of the class of 1981. St. Charles holds a B.B.A. degree in Business Management from Loyola University in New Orleans, a M.B.A. degree in Business from the University of New Orleans, and a Ph.D. degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of New Orleans. 

Dr. St. Charles has served as an adjunct professor in the Division of Business at Xavier University of Louisiana, teaching marketing and business courses.  He also taught courses at the University of New Orleans in the College of Education. 

He is a former board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Second Harvesters Food Bank.  In addition, he retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve with thirty years of service, wherein his final assignment he served as a faculty member in the Command and General Staff College.

Dr. St. Charles is married to Lori Robinson St. Charles and has two daughters, Taylor and Kennedy St. Charles.
