Message from the Principal

  • Greetings Everyone,

    Welcome to St. Augustine High School, where our future is brighter because of our legacy. At St. Augustine High School our Mission Statement is “Under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, St Augustine High School is the training ground for leadership through academic excellence, moral values, Christian responsibility and reasonable, consistent discipline.” Our founding fathers, the Josephite Fathers and Brothers, are an American Society of priests and brothers whose ministry is to bring the Gospel to all, and to work for the full incorporation of the black people into the Church and into human society.

    On our website you will discover that our faculty, staff and students accomplish triumphs on all levels. Community Service Hours which is 36,000 hours plus and annually participate in the March for Life Conference in Washington D.C., semi-annual Blood Drives and our annual Walk for the Hungry. We have hosted annually 45 successful Speech and Debate Tournaments and annually competes and win state and national championships. Our FBLA Team annually competes and win State and National Championships. A host of other successful student activities such as Chess, Journalism, Broadcasting, Pre – Law, etc. All of our successful athletic programs such as Football, Basketball, Baseball, Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field, Tennis, Cross Country and host of other extra – curricular activities. Lastly, but certainly not the least, our world renown Marching 100 and music program that host, perform, compete and march annually in New Orleans Mardi Gras Parades.

    You will discover how our faculty and staff prepare our students for their futures through our rigorous curriculum. Our faculty and staff are self-sacrificing and not only serve our students and parents but our community as well. It is evident that our parents and alumni value the education and brotherhood of St. Augustine High School and dedicate not only their financial resources, but human resources as well to ensure that every student receives a St. Augustine High School education. Our parents and alumni are the best and proudest supporters of the Purple Knights as evident in all that they do by their self-sacrifices.
